Boats was started
in
1968, located in the small, northwest Louisiana Town of Vivian. VIP’s mission
from the very beginning was simply to build a better boat. That is a
promise that has been delivered everyday for over 41 years. VIP
Boats
have been located in the same area for this entire period, where tens
of thousands of boats have been built.
The
VIP
manufacturing plants encompass over 340,000 square feet and covers
almost 30 acres, making it possible to grow with all of the space
available. The size of this facility gives VIP
the ability to build more of the boats’ components (upholstery,
tops, deck rails, trailers, etc.) in-house, which enables VIP
to
control quality
and make quick alterations.
The
VIP
assets
were purchased by Billy
Breed and Joel Euton, and Caddo
Manufacturing, LLC was
created when the original owners filed bankruptcy in 2008. Billy and
Joel collectively have 60 years of boat building experience and
marine knowledge. The CEO, Ernest Avra, is a veteran manager and
boat designer of over 49 years of experience. Therefore, VIP
continues the tradition of creating great boat designs under each of
their careful scrutiny. The new owners have been fortunate in
retaining many of the key personnel, who collectively have over 100
years of management of VIP
